Hey, Alison, thanks for visiting my blog. Glad to meetcha. I'm a single mom with one girl (aged 14) and I live in Ottawa and work for the federal government, too!!! We're practically soul sisters. Do you have a cat, too? And do you like to sleep? Because that would be totally freaky.
Jen - this stretch of road goes along the edge of a ridge. To the left, the land slopes down to farmland, to the right it rises up to a wooded ridge. At dusk and dawn especially, the deer are moving to or from their resting area (woods) and theier feeding area (valley). I've come near to hitting deer on many occasions.
*love* the title :-)

I have pictures of a "Moose Crossing" sign from Newfoundland.
Too funny!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen that kind of sign before and here in Virginia, the deer are thicker than rabbits in Australia.
ReplyDeleteSo I wonder where Bambi and his friends keep their stash -- they don't have any furry little pockets.
