A day late...

Two weeks ago, I made an appointment at the garage to have the winter tires put on my car.

Tomorrow.

This is what greeted me when I woke up this morning:

I am not known for my good timing.

Yesterday, when it was chilly, but still fall-like, greenish brown grass and leaves still covering the ground, Rae looked up at the Christmas lights that I had put up on Sunday and asked, "Mom, is it winter yet?".

I guess I can safely say: it sure is, Rachel. It sure is.

    Snow! I want some snow!

It's an unseasonably warm 74 degrees here today. Tomorrow, however, it's going to be 45. Talk about a drop in temperature! No chance of snow, though...

  2. No, you just be keepin' that there, okay?

The more winters I live through, the less and less enthused I am about winter...

Okay, I apologize for complaining earlier about winter. Mine is still rain...for a couple more hours.
It does look pretty though :)

Hey, if it makes you feel any better, the forecast for tomorrow is worse, with MORE snow! (Days like these, I don't mind riding OC Transpo's 40 foot limo to work!)

    Hi Alison,

I ended up over here from Rude Cactus. Another Ottawan, had to connect via the internet by some guy in Washington D.C.

Snow this morning! Filled me with dread, filled The Boy with wonder. So not ready for the season. I love it, but I'm not ready for it.

  7. Gorgeous! I love snow. Probably because we rarely see it where I live.

  8. So you don't want to hear about how it was 70 degrees here and the children ran around outside without coats or even sweaters?

  10. Our snow has finally melted. WAY too early for it in my opinion. I'm not a big fan of snow.
