Not exactly how I pictured a princess...

Cinderella falls on hard times and starts knocking over liquor stores.

Uh, is it cold up there already?

Tell her she needs to ditch the glass slippers and wear sneakers when she commits felonies.

    Alison,

Call the Mounties! That's the leader of the Neverland Liberation Front! They're a terrorist organization possibly backed by Cinderella's wicked stepmother!

Well the look saves on a lot make up and skin care. It's expensive being a princess these days. ;)

  4. Haaaaaa! I like this fairytale better-more realistic.

  5. Jen - No it's not that cold yet, though the Canada geese have started flying over the house. I was sorting through the winter stuff inside the storage bench in the entryway, when Rae, who was playing dress-up, decided the balaclava would compliment her outfit.

Bill - Really??!! I better call CSIS, I think they're the terrorism people, rather than the Mounties. Have you (or Billy and Alex) seen 'Happily Never After'? An animated twist on the Cinderella story that has the Wicked Stepmother (wonderfully voiced by Sigourney Weaver) taking over Fairytale Land. It's pretty good.

Nat - You may have something there -- I paid an arm and a leg for some moisturizer last week. Maybe the balaclava is the way of the future.

Mrs G. - Funnier and more realistic, yes, but I'd still rather my daughter not use Dana Plato as a role model.

  6. Ummm, in my comment to Jen, that should have been 'complement' not 'compliment', as the ski mask didn't actually say anything to her.

  9. I love this picture - you need it as a screensaver at work so that whenever you are down, you can look at it and be instantly cheered.

  10. PS: is there a reason she has a black cable protruding from her dress? Something to do with her Liberation Front tendencies?

The guider and I both want to know why your child is plugged in. Some sort of Frankensteinien experiment gone awry?

  12. Josie - Well there *is* that at least.

J.T. - Good idea, "Rae, bring Mum home some red."

Guider - Good idea about the screensaver. Oh and the cable is visible because she is curtseying in front of the electrical outlet that the fan is plugged into.

  14. That's too funny. Just think of all the money she's going to make as a comedian when she gets older.

  15. I swear my child and your child are long lost twin souls (though I think mine will win on the bossiness front)
