You thought I was kidding about the frog, didn't you?

I wasn't.

Seriously, could you sleep through that?

(Sorry the picture is so dark, I was using the movie function on the camera as a sound recorder)

It's time to train the cat how to hunt and kill. Frog legs are supposed to taste good, right? Tell the cat they're just like chicken.

  2. That is one loud frog, but the sound is pretty in a haunting kind of way-especially since it's not in my yard.

Sorry... I think it sounds wonderful! I love to be able to hear the peepers at night--it's the best part of spring and one of the reasons I'll often open my windows even when it's really too hot to do so :-)

  4. Alissa and Mrs. G. - it *is* a lovely sound, and would be wonderfully lulling if a) he would turn it down a bit from 11 on the volume, and b) he would keep it in a steady rhythm instead of calling for a bit until I'm used to it, then stopping, then calling with a longer silence between calls then stopping, then speeding up and getting louder.

I was thinking of gentle croaking (is there such a thing.) But that... that is loud!

  6. I'm with Jen. Frogs legs taste like chicken, so common sense says the body does too.

    That's insane dearest.
