I don't think I want to sail on *that* pirate ship

Rachel, running around the house wearing a black eye patch emblazoned with a skull and cross-bones, brandishing a foam-rubber cutlass:

Rae: "Mom, I'm a pirate!"

Me: "Cool. Say something pirate-y."

Rae: "Arrrrrrr, me herpes!"

Me (envisioning a cold-sore-crusted Captain Jack) : "I think you mean 'me hearties'."

Rae: "Are you sure?"

Me: "Yep."

  2. Note to self: learn to giggle quietly at work.

addendum to the memo: stay away from pirates. send Valtrex as pity gift.

  7. I think it's just a mispronunciation. I don't think she's heard of herpes before.

I'm curious to see the flag they'd hoist on that particular ship.

  14. There is definitely something in the water. The pirate themed talk is making its way around my house too. We're only going as far as the "Arg" though. (For which I now can say I'm very thankful.)
