Things to do now that it's almost winter

1. Catch snowflakes on your tongue.

2. Make soup from scratch.

3. Take a bath, put your jammies on, and read a book.

4. Nap.

5. Bake something yummy.

6. Challenge the neighbour kids to a snowball fight.

  5. Clippy - # 5 is my fave too. As for #6, after I put the camera away and joined in, they ganged up on me. We then walked to the park and they made a sad, sparse little snowman on the baseball infield using up all of the thin layer of snow.

Meanie - it was Nov. 5. First snowfall of the winter. It only styed on the ground for 2 days and we haven't had any since.

Jen B. - Yeah, well, we had to get out and play in the first snowfall of the year. Once winter comes in earnest, we'll add tobaggoning, skating, snowfort building and hockey in the driveway. And do more baking.

Jen S. - Yeah, winter's great, for the first three months or so. The beginning is the best, the first snow is magical.

  6. I couldn't figure out when it snowed either. We haven't had any snow stay on the ground here "in town"...

Must admit part of me is looking forward to it. :)

  9. Homemade soup and napping - I can deal with that.

The snowflakes not so much. So you have snow in Ottawa? We can't be far behind.

  10. Nice post Alison, cute pics! I am so glad winter is NOT here yet. Cool, but yesterday was 58 here, we sat on the deck and had a S.African stew with friends. I am not ready for snow yet, my Texas blood can't handle it.

What is this "winter" you're on about? Ha ha. There will be no snow or cold. There will be no winter. No. No.
