That'll teach me

Vanity is never pretty.

I decided put a widget in my template to show who links to me. (Yep, all 6 of you ;-) ) Then I changed my mind, and since I still futz with the template in code, I thought I was deleting the code I had added. In reality, I inadvertently deleted my entire template. Then I hit "save changes". I am an idiot.

It'll be a day or so before I can get my blogroll back up, my links, my cool moon phase widget, and I guess I'll be starting from scratch with the cool map thing that was showing my hits from India, Australia and Indonesia. Sigh.

I would like to state for the record that the beer I drank at lunch had nothing to do with this.

Seriously.

oooh. That's bad. I'm sorry. It sucks having to start all over. I suppose now is when I should add my plug for WordPress--I've been SO much happier since I moved!

One beer? Nah. Nothing to do with it. Or was it 6? That could be your problem :-)

  4. Oops!! I read a bunch of blogs off your blogroll too and have been too lazy to put them on mine. I guess I'll have to wait until they're back up on yours.

Ouch! I suppose now is a bad time to recommend that you always make a backup before tinkering? (ducks to avoid thrown objects.) I used to keep mine as simple word documents when I used blogger, and now do a fancy-schmancy one using SQL.

  6. Atleast you are brave enough to mess with yours. I haven't even added a blogroll. Mainly because I don't know how, but also because I'm afraid of messing anything up.

  8. I usually copy and paste the entire code into a Word document and save it before I make any drastic changes. just in case!

  9. I feel your pain. I accidentally deleted my blogroll last fall and I'm still fixing it.

  10. At least you tried. I'm too scared I'll delete everything by adding something.

I suggest you have another beer...may make it easier.
