A haiku composed on the occasion of driving Old Carp Road at dusk

Deer are not lonely
They cross the road with their friends
Your brakes must be good

    Your brakes good enough
    Tragedy thus averted
    Indeed we are pleased

  2. Wow - you're so Zen when you've just had a near-death (for you or the deer) experience.

  3. Jazz:

    Swearing was rampant
My hands sweaty on the wheel
    Those deer pissed me off

Biblio: Zen is my middle name, baby.

  4. If I had been writing this post, I would have skipped the haiku altogether and gone straight into full-on, no holds barred cursing and ranting.

I bow to your calm and graciousness, oh mighty Zenmaster.

    You almost fucking killed me

  6. Jen - If you cursed and ranted I would read it because it would be hilarious cursing and ranting!

    Allison:

    I read your comment
Snorting, I laughed so damn hard
    I think that I peed
