A conversation on the Promenade

On the Promenade des Anglais.

Alison: Over there, green shirt, black pants.

Lise (Alison's sister): Mmmm, nice.

Alison: You know, we need a code word for saying "Look at the hot guy over there" so we don't have to say "Look at the hot guy over there."

Lise: Yep.

Alison: But what?

Lise: How about "Bazinga".

Alison: Bazinga?

Lise: Or "Knock, knock".

Alison: *laughs* I like "Bazinga".

Lise: "Bazinga" it is.

  1. Bazinga is perfect - it's like when my family tries something on somewhere but then wants to go on line to check if it can be bought cheaper, we say Pavlova and leave.

  2. I like your code words.

Pete and I have been saying things like, "KKMF" (for knock knock, mother...) and "15 years is big metal chickens" to each other for weeks.

I like 'knock, knock' now, but I couldn't say it with a straight face. I wish I had a chicken like that. I would sooooo put it on your front step. 'knock, knock'. Love it!
